Meet our Elders
Austin Darrow
Elder
Austin and his wife, Alicia, have been married for six years. They have two daughters and one son. Austin and Alicia have a passion for Godly community. They also have a passion to reach the next generation with the Gospel. Austin is currently in Pastoral Residency at Restoration Church of Sanford. He is excited to have embarked on this journey to plant a church.
Zachary Borgela
Elder
Zach and his wife Kayla have been married for five years. They have one daughter and one son. Their aim as a family has been to live a simple life, remembering the gospel of Christ and serving His church, however and wherever He calls them. Through various means, God has been preparing Zach for pastoral ministry. He is currently serve as an elder at his local church, in order to train for eldership at 242.
Our Mission
242 is centered on the good news, God’s word, the fellowship, and the great commission.
God has called us to take the hope of the gospel to the people of Deland, Florida and to Volusia County. 60% of Volusia County do not have any kind of faith and the lack of Christian faith is even larger.
Our hearts ache for this city as we drive through downtown, go to the Friday night Artisan market and to local coffee shops. We see a small college town in great need of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
